About the Role
We’re hiring an Account Manager to build, manage, and grow relationships with suppliers on Civic Marketplace. You’ll be responsible for ensuring suppliers are successful on the platform, helping them win business, increase visibility, and expand their footprint across public sector buyers.
This is a highly strategic and execution-oriented role. You’ll act as a trusted partner to suppliers, guiding them on how to position themselves, respond to opportunities, and maximize ROI from Civic Marketplace. At the same time, you’ll directly drive revenue growth through renewals, expansions, and upsells.
You’ll sit at the intersection of marketplace dynamics, customer success, and revenue playing a critical role in scaling Civic Marketplace’s supplier ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
Own supplier success & revenue retention
Ensure suppliers see clear ROI through pipeline generation and contract wins
Own retention (GRR) and expansion (NRR), with revenue growth as the output.
Build and manage supplier relationships
Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers on Civic Marketplace
Develop strong, trust-based relationships with founders, sales leaders, and GTM teams
Guide suppliers on how to position their offerings for public sector buyers
Drive supplier performance on the platform
Help suppliers improve their profiles, offerings, and responsiveness
Advise on best practices for RFQs, shortlists, and cooperative contract positioning
Proactively identify ways to increase supplier visibility and win rates
Lead strategic reviews & insights
Conduct regular business reviews with suppliers to assess performance and growth opportunities
Provide data-driven insights on buyer behavior, demand trends, and procurement patterns
Align supplier strategies with Civic Marketplace’s evolving product and marketplace dynamics
Partner cross-functionally
Collaborate with Customer Success, Product, and Partnerships teams to improve supplier experience
Feed supplier insights into product development (e.g., onboarding, search, RFQ flows)
Support go-to-market initiatives that drive supplier acquisition and engagement

You Might Be a Good Fit If You:
Have strong account management / CSM experience
2–4 years in Account Management, Customer Success, or Sales
Proven track record of driving renewals, expansions, or revenue growth
Experience in B2B SaaS or marketplace businesses is a strong plus
Understand how to drive customer outcomes
You think beyond “support” and focus on measurable success (revenue, pipeline, adoption)
You can translate product capabilities into business outcomes
Have strong commercial instincts
Comfortable identifying upsell opportunities and driving conversations around value
Able to balance relationship-building with revenue ownership
Are highly proactive and execution-oriented
You don’t wait for issues—you anticipate and solve them
You’re comfortable operating in ambiguity and building processes from scratch
Have an interest in public sector or marketplaces
Bonus: experience in government, procurement, or working with vendors selling into the public sector
Bonus: experience working with SMBs or diverse suppliers
