What you'll do:

As a Senior Finance Business Partner (FBP), you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategies and driving the profitability of our business. You will be responsible for preparing, sharing, and animating the full profit & loss, ensuring that the leadership team is well-informed and empowered to make informed decisions that positively impact gross margins.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment. The role offers full ownership of the commercial finance function and career progression opportunities for the right commercially minded individual.

The Senior FBP is a vital role within our business requiring strong stakeholder management skills, and an ability to work closely with other business areas, translating business performance to the wider team.

Your responsibilities will include:

The Senior FBP will animate profitability, with a particular focus on gross margin, including marketing investments, to provide insightful financial analysis.

  • Develop innovation business cases, evaluating potential new products and initiatives
  • Lead the annual budget and the quarterly forecast process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Drive unit economics' understanding and improvement
  • Create financial forecasts and scenarios to support long-term planning and strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with the function teams to build financial projections and budgets aligned with annual strategic plans
  • Establish, monitor and report on key performance metrics to also provide insights and recommendations to senior management
  • Implement data-driven decision-making processes

What you'll need:

The ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role. 

You will have previous experience in business partnering, with the ability to effectively communicate financial insights to non-finance teams, as well as strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret financial data and make data-driven recommendations.

Skills

  • Commercial business case and investment appraisal modelling gained in an advisory or in house capacity
  • Financial planning and analysis experience
  • Ability to work in high pressure environments with an aptitude for problem-solving
  • Good organisation, accuracy and attention to detail to effectively meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and intellectually curious
  • A team-player with good stakeholder management and communication skills
  • CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent qualification
