Role Overview

We are at an exciting stage in our journey as we pivot from a sales-led to a product-first go-to-market motion. Our goal is to drive adoption of our platform by fostering a thriving user community while continuing to engage with the enterprise clients who have joined the journey. To support this transformation, we are seeking an Account Executive who will collaborate closely with the Sales leader, Head of Product, and Customer Success team. This AE will play a pivotal role in shaping our product-led growth strategy, while also continuing to strengthen our mid-market and enterprise sales motion. The ideal candidate will become an essential contributor to our company's future by championing our product-first approach while nurturing key client relationships.

This role is a unique opportunity for someone with some BDR experience and minimal AE experience who’s eager to grow, learn, and develop a repeatable process for closing mid-sized deals while collaborating with the wider sales team.

As an AE at Gravity Sketch, you’ll focus on users who are already engaged with our free product and looking to upgrade. You’ll work on mid-sized deals (which are expected to close in 2-3 weeks) and guide customers through the purchasing process. You’ll also gain exposure to enterprise-level deals, collaborating with the broader sales team to support Gravity Sketch’s growth into larger accounts.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving into the details of the sales process, is eager to create repeatable flows, and wants to grow alongside a fast-paced startup.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Mid-Sized Sales Cycles: Engage with users who have interacted with Gravity Sketch’s free product and are ready to subscribe. Focus on closing mid-sized deals with a typical sales cycle of 2-3 weeks.

  • Customer Engagement: Understand customer needs, address any concerns, and showcase the value of our product in solving their design challenges.

  • Sales Process Development: Work with the sales team to develop and refine a repeatable sales process for closing deals efficiently, while ensuring a seamless customer experience.

  • Collaboration with the Sales Team: Collaborate with the enterprise sales team to identify potential upsell opportunities and assist with larger, strategic deals.

  • Pipeline Management: Use CRM tools to manage your pipeline, track conversations, and ensure timely follow-ups.

  • Learning and Growth: Work closely with senior AEs and sales leaders to develop your sales skills, learn from larger enterprise deals, and grow into a more experienced AE.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience as a BDR, SDR, or in a related sales role with some exposure to closing deals as an AE.

  • Familiarity with SaaS products and/or design-related software is a plus.

  • Eagerness to learn and a hands-on approach to improving sales processes.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical products in a clear and compelling way.

  • Experience running a sales pipeline and working with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Gong).

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized, with the ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously.

  • A collaborative mindset, with an interest in working closely with teammates on enterprise deals.
