What do we do?

Paddle offers SaaS companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.

We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 3000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.

The Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior People Partner who will support our Product, Engineering, Risk and Finance teams (12 month maternity cover). You will demonstrate a true passion for the teams you support and be a dynamic influencer, developing & delivering innovative people initiatives, driving organisational effectiveness and providing guidance about scaling effective teams in a digital first world, globally. As a member of the People team you will help build an inclusive, high performing environment for our Paddlers. Reporting to our VP of People, this is a true generalist role with a strong purpose in building upon our employee centric culture as we expand our teams across the globe.

What you'll do:

  • Act as a trusted ‘go to’ partner for your area, providing smooth operational support and smart, strategic business advice

  • Own the continuous improvement of the employee lifecycle for your business area

  • Work with your business leaders in creating an inclusive, high performing environment. Identify where we need to take action and help leaders anticipate and plan for the future

  • Coach, guide and support your business leaders on a wide range of people related issues and projects

  • Manage and resolve any employee relations issues, while ensuring legal compliance and risk mitigation

  • Partner with our Talent Acquisition team in growing the teams, supporting your business leaders in onboarding & workforce planning

  • Identify the improvement needed in our offering when employing a remote workforce, ensuring all Paddlers experience is exceptional

  • In partnerships with People Operations, analyse trends and insights from our people analytics covering the whole employee lifecycle with the intention of improvement, efficiency & automation - everything we do should be scalable

  • Key projects include redesigning our performance management approach, refreshing our career advancement framework and advancing our DE&I strategy.

We'd love to hear from you:

  • Are a self-starter with entrepreneurial flair. Staying relevant with the world of HR trends and excited to implement practices that add value and make a difference

  • Have worked in a fast paced tech scale up

  • Have a specialism in or passion for project delivery, engagement, technology, people metrics or continual process improvement

  • Have experience of working with job architecture and career development

  • Have experience using a suite of HR systems (we use HiBob and Ashby. Experience of those would be a strong advantage), optimising for efficiency and integration to decrease manual re-work

  • Have superb generalist knowledge and practice of current employment legislation. For a global workforce would be an advantage

  • Can work in a team but also independently, handling conflict resolution and time management while focusing on problem solving

  • Have a strong sense of self awareness combined with a customer focus driven attitude. We’re a collaborative team that support each other

  • You have the ability to organise, prioritise, and handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • You’re an excellent communicator in English. Other native languages would be a plus!

Everyone is welcome at Paddle

At Paddle, we’re committed to removing invisible barriers, both for our customers and within our own teams. We recognise and celebrate that every Paddler is unique and we welcome every individual perspective. As an inclusive employer, we don’t care if, or where, you studied, what you look like or where you’re from. We’re more interested in your craft, curiosity, passion for learning and what you’ll add to our culture. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t match every part of the job ad, especially if you’re part of an underrepresented group.

Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to better support you through the application process and in the workplace. We will do everything we can to support any accommodations needed. We’re committed to building a diverse team where everyone feels safe to be their authentic self. Let’s grow together.
