Paddle offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we're a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It's faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.

We're backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 10,000 software sellers in 300+ territories globally.

The Role:

As we formalise our expansion into the Asia-Pacific region, we are looking for a Director of Sales to act as both the lead revenue generator and the architect of our regional team. This is a high-impact, hybrid role designed for a senior, hands-on leader who thrives in "scale-up" environments.

As Director of Sales, you will own Paddle’s regional commercial expansion: converting strategic opportunities into revenue while building the sales organisation and operating model needed to scale across APAC. Initially, your focus will be weighted towards direct revenue generation, with ownership of high-value, complex sales alongside establishing the territory strategy, team structure and cross-functional foundations for sustained regional growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and grow a strategic portfolio of APAC opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from qualification through negotiation, close and successful customer activation.

  • Exceed regional and personal revenue targets by leading complex, multi-threaded sales processes with founders, CEOs, CTOs, CFOs and other senior decision-makers.

  • Define and execute the APAC territory strategy, prioritising high-fit segments including B2B SaaS, AI and mobile app companies, while identifying adjacent opportunities for growth.

  • Build the initial APAC sales pod by recruiting, onboarding and managing Account Executives and Business Development Representatives, setting clear expectations and creating the foundations for a scalable regional organisation.

  • Coach the team through live opportunities, pipeline reviews, deal strategy, procurement challenges and executive engagement while remaining directly involved in strategic deals.

  • Establish the operating cadence and standards for the region, including pipeline generation, forecasting, territory planning, CRM discipline, qualification and mutual action plans.

  • Represent Paddle with founders, C-suite executives, partners and industry communities across APAC, travelling regularly to build relationships, progress strategic opportunities and strengthen the company’s regional presence.

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Solutions Engineering, Partnerships and other teams to address regional product requirements, develop localised market activity and turn customer insight into action.

  • Build a repeatable APAC sales and market-entry playbook, using performance data, customer feedback and competitive insight to inform investment, hiring and go-to-market decisions.

We’d Love to Hear From You If You Are

  • An experienced enterprise sales leader with a strong track record of closing high-value, multi-threaded deals and exceeding targets in SaaS, payments or a related technology market.

  • Experienced in building teams and markets from the ground up, including hiring, onboarding, mentoring and managing individual contributors while establishing effective sales processes and operating rhythms.

  • Deeply familiar with the APAC software landscape and able to adapt territory, account and go-to-market strategies across different markets and customer segments.

  • A consultative seller with the commercial, technical and financial fluency to engage founders, CEOs, CTOs and CFOs, connecting Paddle’s value to their growth and global expansion goals.

  • Customer-oriented and commercially rigorous, able to anticipate challenges, build executive trust, manage complex negotiations and drive opportunities through to go-live.

  • An entrepreneurial and collaborative leader who can operate with autonomy, build the playbook while executing it, and align Product, Marketing and other teams around regional growth.
