Senior Solutions Engineer
Sales & Business Development
Austin, TX, USA
What do we do?
Paddle offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we're a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It's faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.
We're backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 5000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.
The Role:
We are looking for smart and entrepreneurial people to help us achieve our ambitious growth plans. You'll bring experience in payments, financial solutions, or subscription management. This is an exciting time to join - your work will be highly visible with far-reaching impact for both our company and the digital product companies we serve.
As a senior member of the team, you'll partner with Account Executives working on complex opportunities, enable high-growth digital product companies to build incredible customer experiences with Paddle, and set the standard for how our team operates. You'll also collaborate closely with Product to evolve the Paddle solution.
What you'll do:
Lead technical discovery and value engineering on complex opportunities, connecting customer needs to measurable business outcomes.
Build trusted relationships with executives and senior developers, demonstrating how Paddle removes barriers to global growth.
Design and build sophisticated integration plans and sample code that accelerate time-to-market, anticipating risks and building contingencies that reduce friction.
Execute sophisticated data migration strategies across billing architectures, securing a frictionless transition of recurring revenue for onboarding customers.
Become a deep subject matter expert on the Paddle product suite and act as a thought partner to Product and Engineering, shaping our roadmap and driving innovation in customer implementations.
Mentor and guide other Solutions Engineers, lead internal workshops, and contribute to evolving best practices through documentation and tooling improvements
Share thought leadership on integration strategies and industry best practices, both internally and with customers.
We'd love to hear from you if:
You have proven experience in solutions engineering or solutions architecture at a senior level working with complex, enterprise-level clients, ideally in high-growth environments.
You have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
You bring experience in value engineering, uncovering customer requirements and effectively linking technical solutions to measurable business outcomes.
You have proven technical experience across areas like web development, API integrations, and integration tools.
You have demonstrated expertise in payments, financial solutions, Merchant of Record or subscription management.
You have experience running payments specific proof of concepts including setting parameters and expectations with customers.
You have extensive experience managing and leading complex data migrations between subscription billing platforms, ensuring high data integrity whilst managing customer expectations.
You have a builder mindset - spotting opportunities to improve everything around you and demonstrating this through projects you've built or driven.
You bring strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with experience mentoring others and setting technical standards.
